收藏着录: 黄君璧先生捐赠文物特展目录,页27-28、48 内容简介(中文): 袁江(西元十八世纪),字文涛,江都人(今江苏扬州)。雍正时(一七二三-一七三五)曾任宫廷画家。山水学宋人,楼阁尤精工,中年得无名氏所临画稿,技艺遂大为进步。界画之妙,号称清代第一。 袁江画风气势雄伟,描绘山岩的皴法尤其诡异,于清初山水画派中别具一格。本幅为黄君璧先生捐赠。画无款识,经君璧先生定为袁江。 内容简介(英文): Large Landscape PaintingYüan Chiang (18th c.)Ch’ing Dynasty Yüan Chiang, a native of Yangchow, served as a court painter in the Yung-cheng era (1723-1735). In landscapes, he followed Sung (960-1279) artists and his paintings of buildings were exceptionally detailed. Thus, he was praised as the best “ruled-line” architecture painter in the Ch’ing dynasty. Yüan Chiang often painted grand and imposing landscape scenes. His texture stroke method for describing rocks and slopes was quite unique as he developed his own style of landscape painting in the early Ch’ing dynasty. This work was donated to the Museum by Mr. Huang Chün-pi, the modern master of Chinese painting. There is no seal or signature of the artist, but Huang had attributed it to Yüan Chiang.
