收藏着录: 故宫书画录(卷八),第四册,页141 收藏着录: 故宫书画图录,第二十三册,页62-69 内容简介(中文): 吴彬,生卒年不详,福建莆田人,流寓金陵,字文仲。神宗万历间(一五七三至一六一九)以书画闻名,画山水、佛像、人物皆能自立门户,造型奇异,迥别于前人。 按楞严经:佛于楞严会上,对菩萨声闻,问本何法而得圆通,菩萨声闻,各举自得之法答之,有二十五理,即六尘、六根、六识、七大。吴彬「画楞严廿五圆通佛像」册,乃本此而略有更异,其中此开画趺坐石室内之达摩,便是原记载中所无。达摩与石室之造型,夸大变型,古拙而有奇趣,正表现吴彬不爱临古,而喜自创新意之作风。 内容简介(英文): Bodidharma Wu Pin (active 1573-1619) Ming dynasty Wu Pin was a native of P'u-t'ien, Fukien. Residing in Nanking, he acquired fame as a calligrapher and painter during the Wan-li reign (1573-1619). Wu Pin painted landscapes, figures and buddhist subjects, establishing individual, unusual styles in each genre. According to the Śurańgama Sũtra, at the Assembly of Śurańgama the Buddha asked each of bodhisattvas and śrãvakas by what means does one attain perfect understanding of Truth. Their answers constitute the twenty-five kinds of perfect understanding, the six gunas (qualities), the six sense-organs, the six vijñana (perceptions and discernings of the organs of sense), and the seven elements (earth, water, fire, wind, space, sight and perception). Wu Pin's album of the twenty-five kinds of understanding differs somewhat from the scriptural account. Bodidharma, for example, the subject of this leaf, is not mentioned in the sũtra. Bodidharma and his stone cavern are painted with exaggerated features, reflecting the individuality and novelty of Wu Pin's approach to painting.
