收藏着录: 石渠宝笈三编(延春阁),第五册,页2460 收藏着录: 故宫书画录(卷八),第四册,页128 收藏着录: 故宫书画图录,第十四册,页159-160 内容简介(中文): 方琮字黄山,乾隆时(十八世纪后半)的宫廷画家。学画于张宗苍(一六八八-一七五五),深得其传。此图绘层巖溪阁,二人坐阁中聆听松籁泉音。全画构图平稳,左边山石高耸,右边谿流迂缓。用笔沉着,山石皴法以干、湿、浓、淡各种墨色层层擦染,以显示葱蔚沈厚的气势,颇异于同时宫廷绘画甜俗之习。 内容简介(英文): Two men sit in a pavilion, listening to the soughing of the pines and the sounds of the stream. The composition is balanced thus: mountains and boulders rise up on the left side of the painting, while a stream meanders down the right. The texture-strokes of the mountains and forests are executed with a heavy brush in layers of various shadings of ink--dry, wet, thick, and thin--lending an air of lush verdancy to the scene. Fang’s style differs considerably from the saccharine vulgarities of contemporary court painters.Fang Ts’ung (whose style-name was Huang-shan) was a court painter of the Ch’ien-lung era (1736-1795). He studied painting with Chang Tsung-ts’ang (1686-1755) and thoroughly imbibed his teachings.
