Two very fragile fragments of silk damask on plain weave, dyed with clamp resist dyeing technique in orange and blue, then painted with ink and brown afterwards. Fragment a, in a square shape, has a selvage wide in 0.6cm, and fragment b is in a narrow rectangular shape. Both were woven on plain weave with tiny diamond grid, repeated 0.3cm in warp direction and 0.2cm in weft direction. The dyed pattern is too incomplete to identify, but a floral centre could be found on the fragment b.
Weave structures
